  • Tenacity was the first who did this. It's pretty cool. So, naturally I had to do it because I'm so cool...and so humble (please, no flames, I beg it!) I take exception to the "you go both ways" part however, since I am not AC/DC when it comes to plugging things into wall jacks. Anyway, the test was right-on too! I am such a go-between in life. I am fluent in different languages, studied international relations in college, hung out with geeks, jocks, preps and artists. Introverts and Extroverts are all my friends. In fact, the only personality type I can't stand -in most cases- is E/ISFJ. (The J isn't so bad and neither is the S, but when they can't be rational about it...there is no talking them down off the ledge. They typically believe they are right and are willing/tend to be rather hysterical about it.) Anyway, coolness props to Tenacity on this one. - Blogbat

    You are 42% geek
You are a geek liaison, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.
Normal: Tell our geek we need him to work this weekend.

You [to Geek]: We need more than that, Scotty. You'll have to stay until you can squeeze more outta them engines!

Geek [to You]: I'm givin' her all she's got, Captain, but we need more dilithium crystals!

You [to Normal]: He wants to know if he gets overtime.

  • The daily Poo

    “Look stimpy! eet's Poooooo!”

I hate supersonic days when I still have to worry about details. That's what this morning is like. In a few minutes I am off to give time to a non-profit group to help them build their database and such. After this, (probably in the afternoon) I plan to put up some interesting content here, so don't give up hope, fellow Titanians.

Okay, so sticking to my day job: here's some of what went down today

    1. Got a Starbuck's Frap

    2. Let the dog out. (yes, I did it, "woof, woof woof")

    3. Worked on this blog

    Blogbat's Random Act of Recipe-ing

In an effort to further expand proof of my insanity, I now offer an occasional random Recipe. Don't worry, all will return to normal tomorrow. Happy Labor Day, fellow Americans.

    Rich Raisin Cakes

    1 lb. raisins
    water
    1 c. sugar
    vinegar
    cornstarch
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 3/4 c. oatmeal
    1 tsp. baking soda
    pinch salt
1 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 3/4 c. flour

Preheat oven to 375. Grease one 8 or 9" cake pan.
Cook the raisins until soft in enough water to cover.
Add the sugar or enough to sweeten.
Add a little vinegar to taste.
Mix cornstarch with a little water to make a paste.
Thicken the raisin mixture with this and set aside.
Mix the shortening, oatmeal, baking soda, salt, brown sugar and flour into a crumbly mixture.
Reserve 3/4 c. of the crumbs and put the rest into the bottom of the pan.
Pour the raisin mixture on top.
Sprinkle with the rest of the crumbs.
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
Makes one 8 or 9" cake pan.

And remember kids, when Recipe-ing, always remember to flush
