I'm not sure about the photo from space of the blackout either...as I've seen the satelite photo of the entire world (and I used it as my desktop for ages too!). It's so hard to believe photos these days. I did put up a sort of disclaimer about it's originality. I can agree with your philosophical note today too.
I would really like to see a sat pic of the blackout-maybe the NASA website has a couple. When it's darker than the darkest part of northern asia or africa or the pacific...I mean New York can't be that much of a pit. / I guess I had a "Dr. Laura" moment.

The reason I said that was because of my comment on an earlier post. It encompassed everything in the thoought for the day. I guess just a cool coincidence.
